| Ron was born in Chicago Heights, IL and grew up in Cape Canaveral, FL. His father worked as a scientist at the cape in the space program. After graduating from high school, he joined the Jimi Hendrix fusion band and remained with the group until Hendrixs’ death. He then went to college and while there spent some time playing with the Greg Allman band. In 1979 he joined the Kim Principal (Victoria Principal’s sister) show with the band, Mad Dancer. Ron has worked with Dave Brubeck, Al Wilson, Manard Furguson, Rhapsody, and Nova. In 1993 Ron joined Bertie Higgins and his band and has been the drummer ever since. Ron’s solid beat and great background vocals make him a key member of “The Band of Pirates”. The “Big Buccaneer” resides in Tampa, FL. |
