| Paul Buzine was born and raised in New York City and is an alumni of the Berkley College of Music in Boston and the University of Florida in Tampa. Early on in his career, it was obvious that he was a giant talent. He became a resident member of the SS Norway’s 18 piece band and honed his skills backing everyone from Roger Williams to the Smother’s Brothers. After leaving the ship he moved to Tampa Bay and became the staff guitarist for the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Paul’s list of recording artists that he has either backed or performed with reads like a who’s who in the music industry. Doc Severinson, Marvin Hamlisch, Natalie Cole, Blood Sweat and Tears, Bette Midler are but a few on the list. Paul has the versatility and depth to perform a variety of musical and guitar styles and it shows in his performances. When not on the road with Bertie he performs in the Southeast with “Expressions”, a duo with Kathy McAbee. Bertie is fortunate to be able to include him as member of “The Band of Pirates”. Paul currently resides in Clearwater, FL. |
